Dr. Nikolaos Georgikopoulos compared the similarities and differences of the Cypriot and Greek financial crises. Drawing upon recent lessons from the Greek sovereign debt crisis and its impact on the Greek financial system, he analysed important economic and financial issues regarding how to achieve the necessary stability of the banking system while ensuring the liquidity required for economic growth in Cyprus.
