N. Vagionis, W. Kafouros, E. Panagiotou. 2005. | ISBN: 960-341-062-4
This work attempts to present and analyse the ways through which the postwar developments of economic, social and political structures of the Balkan states influenced, and continue to do so, their economic relations with Greece. The field of this study covers Albania, Bulgaria, F.Y.R.O.M., Romania and Serbia-Montenegro.
Although the whole postwar era is examined, the emphasis is placed on the period after 1990. Part One of the study analyses the structural characteristics of the postwar economic evolution of these countries. We attempt to comprehend the political and economic procedures through which these states arrived at their present situation. Part Two analyses the magnitudes, the nature and the specificities of their economic relations with Greece since 1990. Finally an effort is made for the examination of the prospects of these relations.
