2008 Distinction of our senior research fellow, P. Prodromidis

A DISTINCTION OF OUR SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW, P. PRODROMIDIS, BY THE ACADEMY OF ATHENS

During its December 30, 2008 festive session, the Academy of Athens awarded the University Professor Charalambos G. Sepentzis Foundation prize to the book entitled A regional analysis of declared incomes in Greece, authored by Prodromos-Ioannis K. Prodromidis, a Senior Research Fellow at KEPE, as the “best scientific study in the field of the science of economics”, published between January 1, 2005 to December 12, 2007.

The excerpt of the Moral and Political Sciences Order of the Academy of Athens, which was delivered at the prize-award ceremony, quotes that the prize-awarded study examines the spatial distribution of personal income in Greece on the basis of the 2001 Census and the 2002 Internal Revenue data which pertain to the census year. The econometric analysis entails important implications regarding the comprehensive study of labor markets and the production structure of Greece at the local level.

The conferred prize is accompanied by a monetary award of 8.000 euro to the author.

This book was first published in KEPE’s Studies Series in 2006 and was reprinted in 2007.
