DISTINCTIONS OF OUR RESEARCH STAFF BY THE ACADEMY OF ATHENS

On September 26, 2009, during a roundtable event at the 2nd Panhellenic Congress of Urban Planning, Spatial Planning, and Regional Development in Volos, the KEPE (Center of Planning and Economic Research) was honored by the University of Thessaly for its long-standing contribution to the study of Greece’s spatial development. They were also recognized for their donation of copies of their series to enrich the library of the Department of Spatial Planning, Urban Planning, and Regional Development (DPRDSEUT) at the University. The honorary plaque was received on behalf of KEPE by Dr. P. Prodomidis, a researcher in regional development matters. Additionally, the retiring members of KEPE’s staff, G. Anairousis, E. Kalliga, D. Katochianou, N. Katochianos, P. Komilis, and K. Pachakis, were honored by the President of DPRDSEUT, Professor G. Petrakos.
