LINEup in Athens 2025: Understanding Educational Inequalities through Longitudinal Data

KEPE is pleased to announce the Athens Event of the LINEup project. The event is organized together with the University of Piraeus Research Center and the Institute of Computer Technology and Publications “Diofantos”. The event will take place in Amalia Hotel, Syntagma, Athens on October 17.

The event is titled “Understanding Educational Inequalities through Longitudinal Data” and will present the results of the project so far and will attempt to answer questions about educational inequalities, such as the reasons why the use of longitudinal data for the formulation of educational policies, how such data can transform educational policies and practices, as well as some initial results of the statistical processing of the longitudinal data identified in the context of the LINEup.

In the second part, the conference includes three different workshops with topics aimed at different audiences.

One workshop is aimed at primary and secondary education teachers and will discuss inclusive practices and classroom strategies that foster student engagement and belonging.

Another workshop concerns researchers who deal with educational inequalities and will focus on statistical methods for processing longitudinal data.

A third workshop targets people involved in shaping education policies and actions and will discuss the best ways to translate data into policy and strengthen governance frameworks.
