Presentation of the questionnaire for the upcoming KEPE field survey in Western Macedonia
The questionnaire for the upcoming field survey conducted by KEPE’s Local Development & Resilience Observatory, in collaboration with the Region of Western Macedonia, was presented before representatives of municipalities and local stakeholders, as well as regional officials. The primary objectives of the survey are to record the economic and social impacts on local households, businesses, and other entities resulting from the previous closure of the Servia High Bridge, to map current traffic flow as a benchmark in the event of future closures or traffic restrictions, and to assess potential impacts on individuals and legal entities in order to select the most suitable timeframe for restoration works, thereby minimizing adverse consequences for the local society and economy. During the meeting, the rollout of the initial pilot test of the questionnaire was discussed, alongside procedures for monitoring response rates across various population segments and related organizational matters. Furthermore, a working meeting took place with the Governor of Western Macedonia, Mr. George Amanatidis, to coordinate the next steps of the project.
